Like a mirror

Fished early this morning for a couple hours with my brother Matt. The wind was non existent and the sound was like mirror.  We decided to get up at 0545 and be the first ones on the water.  We were joined by some local crabbers picking up the mornings catch.  We managed a few speckled trout before the fog rolled in and the wind kicked up. Here is a shot of one of Matts trout with perfect morning lighting.

Wader repair test

Repaired my waders last night and took them for a spin today. . . I had a 30 minute window before wife had to work. Luckily this one made it through all the gill nets and on to my lure. I can finally stop buying Gulps! 23″ – 3lb 12oz …… The fish also made it into the Fisherman Post Magazine!

Quick late afternoon trip

Fished with my brother Matt this afternoon on the Salt Minded Jr. We had a great afternoon with a nice catch of speckled trout with a few puppy drum in the mix. The bite has been pretty consistant lately, and you can pretty much catch them anywhere. We decided to keep some for dinnner

A glassy evening

Headed out with my friend Chris Mascio for an evening of trout fishing.  We had already fished a little while in the morning and picked up a few fish here and there, including a couple puppy drum but overall it was on the slow side.  The evening bite came together a little better for us as we were able to get a few nice fish in the boat including Chris landing a fat 20 incher.  Looking forward to sharing some more fun days in the future with Chris aboard the Salt Minded Jr.
