Miracle

Pulled through in the 4th quarter after I hopped in the tower and miraculously found a school of these beauties in some windy / overcast conditions. Rather be lucky then good!

Morning trip wasn’t so lucky.  We tried bait fishing for the drum with nothing but rays and a shark. Did catch some misc. bottom fish while we were soaking drum baits.  Still a fun time with a great crew – thanks guys!

Nor’Easter

It’s that time of year when we get some unsettled weather, and sometimes for a long period of time. This recent Nor’Easter lasted for a week!  Back fishing every day this week so stay tuned for some post blow fishing reports.  I’ve got high expectations……  Looks like the weather returns this weekend so hopefully the fish know it and they feed like crazy !  Thanks for checkin’

Out of control

The drum bite is just getting silly.  Big schools in the sound.  Big ones at night.  Bait, artificial, whatever.  I love fall – an excellent time to check the red drum off the list, and potentially a drum of a lifetime! I’ll be fishing right on through October and into November so give me a call lets do some Fall Fishin!

YES!

Really great company on the boat today, catching fish was going to be a bonus right from the start.  We enjoyed some excellent spanish mackeral fishing – casting and catching about 25 – keeping 10.  Went looking for the drum and stumbled upon the motherload.  Some of the biggest schools I’ve seen all year.  Epic morning!

9/17 Report

Had a blast with Tom and his son Colin today.  We started out catching jumbo croakers this morning.  Threw them in the livewell in hopes of exchanging them for something much larger.  We later hooked into a jumbo cobia that decided to pull the hook a few minutes in to the fight, OUCH!   Got a little taste of some pullage – so we needed more.  Headed to amberjack land to get our fix.  Good times!
