Fall fishing

Back at it.  Had a couple trips since Ive been home from Maine.   One was not very productive – and one was a blast.  Rockfish starting to make their fall showing.  Trout, reds, and a few flounder still around to play with.  Give me a call and lets get it while the fishing is HOT! Thanks for checking!

Alberts, Matthew, and Maine

Had Steve and Jeff for a couple of trips the past two days. We went in the ocean on Monday and it was very rough but we caught Albie’s on the fly so that makes it bearable. Fish were busting bait all over the place, it was pretty. We ran back inside and caught a variety of fish, mostly small, but a few keeper trout and a flounder.  Fun times with these guys, great crew.

Today we tried the big drum in the sound but came up empty. Not sure where they’ve gone.

It looks like the track for Hurricane Matthew is getting worse and worse for the Outer Banks. I am supposed to be heading to Maine on Saturday with a good friend who will be hunting a moose. I will be behind the lens. Looking forward to an epic adventure.

Dinks

Had some pretty solid acton yesterday,  but really lacked in quality. Think we ended up with 4 keepers out of probably 40 fish. Striper season opens today !
