Pups save the day

Dean and I departed at 0630 for a half day trip. It was a very tough start to the trip with only a couple mystery bites in the first hour and a half. I knew we needed to make a move but the hard NE wind kept our options pretty limited. We headed through some chop to another spot. Dean pitches into a nice little cut and pulls out a 20″ drum to get things going. We hung around that area and picked em off for an hour or two. Great fishing with great company.

Bull Reds on Popping Corks *video*

We headed down to the Nuese River on 9/4/2013 with hopes of catching monster red drum on light tackle. We had no experience with the area, and really no idea where to fish. We got lucky and stumbled upon some fish working the top. We hung in the area all morning and it turned into one of the funnest mornings of fishing I have had in a long time! thanks for watching…..

Mid morning poppin’

Matt, Kent, and myself got out around 0930 for some mid morning poppin’ cork action.  We had some slightly overcast skies so I was hopeful for at least a decent bite.  Thats exactly what we had, a decent bite.  We caught small trout, small pups, small stripers, with a handful of decent fish in the mix. This was Kents second outing on my boat, and the first one was a skunk.  It was nice to get some redemption from that trip.  Next trip should be all time. Thanks for checking!
