Sportfishing Magazine Capt of the Year Finalist!

Wow!  Can’t thank you  guys enough for the nominations and votes.   There are so many worthy captains of this award right here on the Outer Banks.  The inshore and offshore fleet are some of the best fisherman in the world.  We face very challenging conditions and an ever changing fishery year to year.    It feels great to receive recognition for something I am so passionate about and have dedicated so much time and effort into.   Thank you guys for fishing with me, referring me, following my website, etc.  Without you guys I would still be fixing broken computers and dreading every work day.  Thank you!!!

Fall fishing

Fishing has been great recently, with a nice variety of fish around.   Throw in some nice calm conditions and seas and you got yourself an epic trip!   Jacks, Albies, and Mahi today.  Flat calm ocean and some pretty deep blue water near the beach.  Next couple days looking good too!

Count it!

Such a fun trip today. I had 2 Dad’s and their young sons. We caught fish the whole time. Bottom fishing was good, went out and got a small cobia that the little ones took turns on, and finished with a big ol school of reds for the Dads. Thanks guys – what a blast!
