Slow day

Slow sound fishing this morNing then ran out and got a shot on a stud cobia,  but he didn’t eat what we were serving.  Really needed that one.  Oh well!

Hot

Morning trip was a good time. Ran over the drum right out of the gate and got them. Went out to the wreck but it was junk so we came back in aND popped a beautiful cobia and hit the Drum a couple more times.

Afternoon was a bit of a grind but we did find what we were looking for, got another Purdy cobia for the grill. Went inside and did some bottom fishing and caught a bunch of croakers, pigs, puffers, etc.

Zero to Sixty

Ran two 6 hour trips today.  This morning I had Shelby and son Ryan on board. We had some slow fishing in the sound – picked up 2 small reds and 1 keeper trout.   Ran up the beachs where we found the bait and cobia yesterday and it was a desert.  Luckily we hit the big drum 1 time and hooked 2 and caught 1.  Really needed that!  Came back inside hoping the trout bite turned around, but it didn’t .  Thanks for fishing hard guys!

Afternoon was a different story. Started off catching a couple nice size spanish, but had bigger fish on our minds.   Ran out to the wreck and were greeted with some jumbo jacks – including the record for the boat!   Caught a few of those and came back inside and hit the jumbo drum!  Super fun trip with these guys. THanks!

Trout and Cobia OH MY

Pretty solid trout acton this morning.  Ended up with a nice catch of 13 keepers. Afternoon trip didn’t show so me and Garret went out and saw some cobia and caught a couple keepers. Fun day.
